LearnHub Announces The Dream Study Abroad Scholarship for Indian Students

New Delhi, April 17, 2009: LearnHub.com, the leading social learning network run by Canada based Savvica Inc., has announced the Learnhub Dream Study Abroad Scholarship to help students in various academic pursuits to apply and study abroad. Savvica is majority owned by Educomp Solutions Ltd.

The LearnHub Scholarship is in fact a bursary, with a one time grant of USD 2000 which can be used to buy books or pay fees. The selected student gets the amount once they join the college and complete the first semester. This scholarship will be declared once in 6 months and can be applied by any student who is an Indian citizen and a member of LearnHub. While there is no upper cap on the number of scholarships, only deserving candidates will be selected for the same. The first round of results will be out by September 1st week, 2009.

The application procedure is made very simple and carefully laid out to select the most deserving candidates. The prize winners will be felicitated and counseled on how they can extract the maximum from higher education abroad. Further details on the scholarship like, eligibility criteria, important dates, contact information etc can be found on – http://learnhub.com/scholarships.

“We have experienced phenomenal growth over the past year and we would like to share our success with students” says LearnHub CEO Malgosia Green. With the global recession making budgets ever tighter and competition for scholarships even more fierce, the LearnHub Scholarship promises to keep the dream alive for students who want to study abroad.

In these lean economic times, students have discovered further studies as an attractive option to avoid career stagnation, while transitioning to higher job profiles. Faced with a choice between colleges in India and abroad, students are keen on studying abroad. As Varun, Analyst at a research firm said, “I have secured admission in both Indian and foreign business schools. I prefer studying abroad since it provides better education and placement opportunities. The job scenario will improve in the coming years and I should secure a higher level position in a consulting firm, helping me repay my educational loan in time.”

Studying Abroad is also a fast emerging trend for undergraduate courses. “When you consider salaries after education and the ease of transition to higher study programs like MS/MBA, it becomes obvious that studying abroad is the way to go”, said LearnHub’s Counselor Amit Wadhwa. “The LearnHub scholarship is an initiative to specifically encourage high school students to fulfill their educational aspirations”, he further added.

AIEEE Cut off 2009, AIEEE Counseling

Many students have been asking me where they can get information on about aieee counseling, aieee colleges, aieee preparation, what if they are not able to make it to NIITs and many such questions. My suggestions is first check Aieee Cut off 2009 then you can consider following options:

1> Your rank is under 15k then you have slight chance of making it to NIITs but may be in the second round of counseling.

2> Your rank is above 15k then you can target BITs Pilani, BITs Hyderabad etc....Remember BITs Pilani is counted among the top colleges after IITs.

3> You can even consider joining Manipal Engineering College but only issue would be affordability. Bcoz fees in these private colleges are usually very high.

Hope this was useful for you guys.

Target average GMAT Score for Top USA Business Schools

This article will be useful for working professionals who are planning to pursue MBA from USA universities or USA B-schools.

Being a working professional myself, I understand that during recession many of us are planning to go for higher studies. In my circle of friends out of 10 professionals six have already applied to different b schools in USA, UK or in India and others have taken the GMAT 2009 date.

Most of us while preparing for GMAT keep asking our seniors or friends that “How much GMAT score I should get?” Others who are very particular about getting in to Top MBA colleges in USA or ISB Hyderabad, India come up with questions like “What is the minimum GMAT score for getting in to Top B schools?”

After discussing with couple of my seniors I feel it’s better to target average GMAT score. If your GMAT score is above Average GMAT Score then there are good chances that you will make it to your desired business school. Needless to mention securing score > average GMAT score is just one step towards getting in to top b schools in USA or India.
