CBSE Date Sheet 2011, Marking Scheme, Sample Papers, Exam Syllabus

CBSE 2011


CBSE 2011 board exams are held for different classes and different disciplines. Those appearing for CBSE exam 2011, must be eagerly waiting for CBSE datesheet. CBSE Board however prepare CBSE date sheet 2011 in a way to ensure that students get sufficient time to revise CBSE 2011 syllabus before the date of CBSE examination. However, students should be well prepared in advance before the commencement of CBSE examination. Once the CBSE datesheet is announced, student can make a schedule for CBSE examination preparation.

CBSE Date Sheet 2011


Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has not announced the CBSE date sheet 2011 for class X and XII examinations to be held in 2011. Like each year, this year also it is expected that CBSE 2011 class X and XII Examinations will start from the first week of March 2010. Detailed CBSE datesheet of the CBSE exam 2011 is expected to be announced in last week of December, 2010.

Changes in CBSE Exam 2011


CBSE has introduced a new tool named as the Students Global Aptitude Index (SGAI) to measure the aptitude of student in combination with his/her interest. The Aptitude reflects the inherent capacity, talent or ability of a child. Aptitude testing is a student-friendly, universally accepted mode of rating capabilities for a particular activity.

The new tool is aimed for students pursuing class X in CBSE schools. It is a simple paper and pencil test and is of 2 – 2½ hours duration. The assessment broadly indicates:
 Scientific Aptitude
 Numerical Aptitude
 Social Aptitude
 Behavioral Science Aptitude
 Art Aptitude
 Interest areas

CBSE hopes that this new tool will help students in knowing the preference for subjects after class X. However, it should be taken only as an indicator or a facilitator. The assessment will also help parents, teachers and students to find out the subject choices that one can opt for after CBSE board exam.
To encourage more students to register, the last date for the online registration for CBSE Students Global Aptitude Index (SGAI) Assessment has now been extended to 30th October 2010.

CBSE Sample Papers


Are you tensed about coming CBSE Board exam? Adopt the right strategy to prepare for CBSE 2011 exams to avoid undue stress of CBSE board paper. Make a schedule based on CBSE date sheet 2011 and number of days left for CBSE board paper to begin. There are few things that can help you with CBSE exam 2011 preparation and improve your CBSE results 2011 in CBSE board paper. The most important one is to study the topics from CBSE syllabus properly and revise periodically. After revising the syllabus, practice solving CBSE sample papers as much as possible. Solving CBSE Sample papers will make you more confident about CBSE board exam. Try to avoid studying what will not appear in the CBSE board paper. There's no harm but good in reading extra. Even if you cannot finish studying the entire portion, study what you can but make sure to study that well.

CBSE Marking Scheme


According to CBSE Marking Scheme, there are certain guidelines that students should follow. The different questions in CBSE board paper will have different marks. The most important is that a student should examine a question in conjunction with the CBSE Marking Scheme and find out the proximity of the answer to that suggested in the CBSE Marking Scheme. If student answer an extra-question, answer of the question deserving more marks should be retained and the other answer scored out. Wherever the word limit is given, no marks shall be deducted for exceeding the word limit. However, due credit should be given for precise answers as per CBSE Marking Scheme.

As per CCE guidelines the syllabus of Science for class X has been divided term wise. The units specified for each term shall be assessed through both Formative and Summative assessments. In each term, there will be two formative assessments each carrying 10% weightage. There will be 20% weightage of summative assessment in the first term and in the second term, summative assessment will have 40% weightage. In every term end summative assessment, assessment of practical skills through MCQ will carry 20% weightage.
